Trip to PSR (Parthasarthi Rocks) - JNU
The idea of going to PSR in JNU was motivated by the following reasons:
1. My boredom during the exam time
2. My amazing socialist, pretty, stubborn, talkative, sweet, childhood friend 'Anjali' (she does resemble the kind of Anjali in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge - my mom says that) used one of her visits to PSR as her whatsapp dp (a slight digression: there should be a better metonym for 'dp')

So wasting no time, I pinged her to take me on a tour one day and as expected, she said yes (which is the most amazing part of her personality)!
Right after the day we were done with my sister's marriage (wherein we enjoyed a lot!), we decided to execute the Mission Impossible (travel plans with friends remain on whatsapp groups most of the times! - believe me).
So, on 13th December 2018 at around 3pm, we got down at Hauz Khas Metro Station. She buys some stuff for herself and we hopped on in an auto. Wait! "JNU" and we don't talk about protests; let's take a step back then. Apparently, the VC of JNU had prohibited the students to bring their own books/notebooks to the library and there was a silent protest by the students on that day. (Honestly, I still smirk sometimes on the kind of protests that happen in JNU - well that is it is famous for :P). This made the entry super difficult. The head guard refused us the entry to JNU. But how come Anjali accept rejection?? She shows her network power: makes a few calls and there you go, we are set free to explore one of the most reputed universities in India!
The hungry Anjali Sirohi grabbed a paneer tikka roll which tasted really bad from the canteen inside and we both agreed on it (that's quite rare actually!). After about 20 mins of walk, we finally reached PSR entry, where Anjali's friend Sana made an entry into the register for us. While seeing her off, I mistakenly addressed her as Sneha (she actually resembled one of my Microsoft colleagues whose name is Sneha) which caused me slight embarrassment :P. (Honestly, I still don't know what's so special about PSR that it had to be manned by a security guard and one needs to make an entry)
So, 5 more mins of walk and we finally reached the rocky area of PSR! Some Jats (as told to me by Anjali - no stereotyping from my side :P) were already enjoying their selfie time over the rocks. We waited for a while for them to leave but who in this world has so much time? So we climbed too. Anjali started her own enjoyment and so do I - gaze and retrospect. It was a quite a peaceful place and one could look to a bit far off places of Delhi. It was after a very long time I had been to such a place filled with tranquility.
Anjali plays old hindi songs on her phone and obviously, how can I stop dancing! I do my uncle dance for a while and then again back to gaze. As the sun was setting, it started to get colder and it was time to leave.
Now came the next big challenge: a place to decide to eat. I must say that Anjali could do a part-time Delhi Guide job too! So she decides to go to Ivy and Bean in Shahpur Jat. This was the first time I was visiting this area and it gave me a feeling of Hauz Khas village. The ambiance of Ivy and Bean was amazing and so was the owner/helper who was serving us. We had amazing pasta and pizza, which was culminated by a sweet dish (which Anjali liked :P). I cracked a couple fallacious statements with the owner about Anjali and me, which I won't be mentioning in this blog :P (we still laugh over that!).
Now, it was supposed to be the end of the day but it wasn't. We hopped on in an auto to get to the metro station and then, we have a spat/disagreement over something. I got angry, passively. Physically unhurt, we reached the metro station to head on to our respective homes. As we reached the security checking of the metro station, Anjali realizes that she lost her metro card :P. She gets really furious. Still angry at her and at the same time, sympathizing for the loss of her card, I remained speechless. She buys a token and we reach our sweet home!
A fun day, wherein we exchanged a lot of personal things with each other. We got to know each other much better and it helped to eliminate certain preoccupations we had for each other. And most importantly, my long dream of visiting JNU finally came true (Thank you, Anjali)!
